Good evening, everyone!
What a crazy awesome week that was. It was kicked off by an awesome Monday evening BBQ thanks to our Bandwagon (which you are all a member of!) and ended with a wonderful graduation event at McCarthy Center.
Seniors and senior parents - Thank you so much for being involved, supporting, encouraging, and being a part of our program. It isn't easy but we hope that's where the sense of reward and pride come from. To paraphrase a line from A League of Their Own -
"It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard everyone would do it. The hard, is what makes it great".
Like many of you, I am very excited to get some rest this summer, but also am very much excited for what the 23/24 edition of the Mead Band program achieves!
Thank you for a wonderful year!
WHAT'S UP FOR THIS WEEK
As mentioned in last week's edition of Band Notes - in class this week we'll have those final opportunities to complete any missing assignments (especially the final playing assignments and reflection) return instruments that won't be needed over the summer, and hand in music that is still out in folders. I'll also ask a few students that love to organize help get things back in order for the end of the year and reset for what will be another awesome run in 2023-2024. (music, technique books, folders, stands, chairs, mic cables, and much more).
Monday 6/12 - Regular 6 period day
Tuesday 6/13 - Finals schedule, periods 1 & 4
Wednesday 6/14 - Finals schedule ,periods 2 & 5
