Band Notes 5/29 to 6/4

Happy Memorial Day to everyone! I hope you're either wrapping up from, or just beginning an incredible BBQ on this unofficial kick off to summer! In just 3 weeks (plus one day) we'll be done with the 2022-2023 school year! Our seniors will be finished even sooner than that - make each one of these days enjoyable and finish strong!


I also hope you have also been able to take a moment to honor and think about those that have served in our military branches. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to each and every one of you and them!


JAZZ AWARDS CONCERT TUESDAY, May 30!

We have seen and heard a lot of growth throughout the year - join us for this final jazz performance by our MHS Jazz 2 and Jazz 1, and final performances by our senior members!

  • Tuesday, May 30 - Jazz Awards Concert

    • 7pm, MHS Theatre

  • Thursday, June 1 - Dine Out at PANDA!

    • This is one of our Dine Out fundraiser nights! Use the online order code 355387

    • Simply eat at Panda and we'll receive a portion of the profits from the day!

    • Might have to say you're with Mead Band and Guard?

  • Monday, June 5 - End of Year Band Awards and Concert

    • 5:00pm - BBQ and entertainment (Updated Time!)

    • 6:30pm - Concert and awards begin

    • Required/credit for ALL band and percussion students

  • Thursday, June 8 - Band Picnic

    • 3:00pm to 5:00pm

    • Optional activity

    • Yearbook signing, softball, tennis

  • Friday, June 9 - MHS Graduation

    • 3pm load equipment, 3:30pm depart for McCarthy

    • 5pm ceremony begins

    • 7:30pm approximate return to MHS

    • Attire for this event is "job interview" "Sunday best.

  • Thursday, June 15 - Informational Meeting for 23/24 school year

    • 7pm - MHS Music department (band room, choir room, theatre)

    • All things 23/24 (marching band, trips, fundraising, etc)
